Being a homestead restoration dedicated to Adele and Hugh gives it a personal touch which is expanded with stories and person items which bring the period to life.
Each room is presented and maintained by our team of volunteers and historians.

The Station Refreshment Rooms at the Homestead Station are open for Athenree Tea every Sunday commencing on Fathers’ Day with a Father’s Day Ploughmans Lunch. Pop up and enjoy our devonshire teas whilst taking in the gardens and panoramic views to the sea.
Athenree Tea – This is the traditional, freshly baked scone topped with jam and cream accompanied by your choice of tea or coffee. Athenree Tea can be accompanied by a conducted tour through the house.
FOR GROUPS Of TEN OR MORE, High tea or Ploughmans platter – High tea includes Athenree Tea and a selection of freshly made sandwiches. A ploughman’s platter is made up of cold meats, cheeses and pickles served with a fresh roll.
As all of the Homestead staff are volunteers, it is important that we have firm dates and numbers in advance.
We do look forward to serving you at our beautiful venue where you can enjoy the sea and rural views from the deck outside or soak up the history of the station inside.
