My name is Mike Lally and our family has been involved in local government in Western Bay and Tauranga for more
than 100 years. I have been a past district Councillor for six years and a chairman of the Te Puke Community Board.
I have done my apprenticeship. I have a back ground in Industrial Engineering and using the standards and training techniques set out by the International Labour Organisation to increase productivity.
I have owned businesses, and trained many young people who have been successful.
What can I offer you if elected as Mayor of Western Bay?
My commitment to you is as follows:
1.Freeze rates and increase productivity to reduce future
rate increases. It can be done.
2.Community Boards should be given budget funding in their
own areas and managed by the board including pensioner
housing. With their own budgets residents can have more say.
